The Ohio Teen Driver Coalition Helps Win Passage of Ohio House Bill 343

Bob Taft, in one of his last acts as Ohio governor, displays freshly signed Substitute House Bill 343, following a nearly two-year long campaign led by the Ohio Conference of AAA Clubs and the Ohio Teen Driver Coalition. Pictured with Taft (center, seated) from left to right are Kevin Thomas, vice president, AAA Akron Auto Club; Ric Oxender, Oxender & Associates; Tom Raga, former state representative and bill sponsor; Brian Newbacher, director of public affairs, AAA East Central; Sandra Guile, public relations coordinator, AAA Allied Group; Senator Gary Cates, bill sponsor in the Senate; and Freda Davis, government affairs manager, AAA Ohio Auto Club. Also key to the effort was Ray Keyton, executive vice president AAA Miami Valley and chair of the Ohio Conference of AAA Clubs Legislative Committee and Ray and Debbie Sanderbeck of Medina, Ohio (not pictured).
